Moving Tips

  • Defrost the refrigerator at least 24 hours before uplift to allow the refrigerator to dry out. Wipe the fridge with a dry cloth to make sure there is no excess water then a wipe over with vanilla essence for a fresh clean fridge free of unpleasant odours.
  • When relocating to your new residence give considerable thought to the layout of your new home and make a special note of the size deciding where you might place furniture etc in your new residence.   • Flammables – dispose of garden chemicals, paints, mower fuel and pressure pack as we are unable to take these on the truck for safety reasons.
  • Disconnect telephone, gas and electricity. Cancel newspaper subscriptions milk and bread deliveries.
  • Arrange connections at your new house for telephone and electricity etc.
  • Notify your change of address to places like RTA for your licenses, registrations etc health insurance fund, Medicare, doctor, dentist, insurance company, bank accounts etc.
  • Get the post office to redirect your mail
